During my time at UCSB, I served as a research assistant in both the Geography and Psychology departments. Below are examples of my data science–related contributions. Click on a card to learn more about each project.


Hegarty Spatial Thinking Lab (Psychology Department)

  • Work done under the supervision of Mary Hegarty, a psychology professor at UCSB. Link to the lab's website can be found here.
  • Assisted with data analysis of experimental data for two honors students' thesis projects
  • Worked with raw experimental data in R and Python to perform EDA, visualizations, regressions, and statistical tests
Fall 2021

Flood Intervals Research (Geography Department)

  • Research under Mike Johnson (NOAA Affiliate, UCSB PhD). Website here.
  • Analyzed hydrologic regions by comparing NOAA Water Model and USGS streamflow data in RStudio
  • Built a dataframe with 169k+ site, model, and interval observations
  • Developed interactive visualizations and apps with Tableau and RShiny
